Singapore tour

After a tricky start trying to sort out the meeting place all went well. I am so glad that Jon was able to show us around Singapore, He met us in our hotel and we discussed what I would like to see and he was happy to sort out an itinerary for us. We walked a long distance but when I got tired he let us rest and we took the metro which was all part of the experience. We enjoyed the visit to the Fullerton hotel where Jon gave us a postcard to write home as it was the old post office. We also enjoyed Chinatown and the visit to the temple. Jon took us to the Gardens in the Bay and explained which tickets I would need and left us there to enjoy my bucket list venue. Jon was polite and very knowledgeable. I can highly recommend this tour.

Great tour & guide

Excellent 4 hours spent with a very knowledgable and personable guide in Stefan. We covered key historical issues in the creation of the republic as well as more modern cultural and economic developments. Both modern and historical architecture was well covered. A great way to get a feel for Singapore in a few hours.

Fun tour even in the rain!

Adam was a great guide. He provided context to the sites that many visit when touring Singapore and for our group that is the highlight of a tour. We had a great day- hitting all our must sees in spite of the rain. The only thing we felt missing was a query about stops for food midday. We did do some tasting in Chinatown Hawker market but that was early. We were hungry as the day progressed. Still we really had a great day!

Wonderful walking tour with Adam.

Our 3 hour walking tour with Adam was perfect. We covered a lot of ground and visited many “must see” sights, but never felt rushed. Adam gave us an overview of the history, cultures and religions of Singapore, all told via charming stories and experiences. Highly recommend!

Great Tour While Trying to Stay Dry

Stefan was great. Very knowledgeable and able to share his knowledge with us . Easily understandable. He was able to switch the tour to inside and underground when torrential rains fell and the streets were flooding. Thank you Stefan for sharing the history and culture of Singapore with us

Trip cancelled due to inclement weather

Jack, the tour was an amazing tour guide. His dedication was unmatched. He came despite of the thunderstorm and lighting. I am giving this experience 3 stars because I reached out to the city unscripted tour to cancel the tour because of the inclement weather but they did not believe me and looked at the weather forecast and said oh it just says light rain. I said we are not going to continue the tour because of safety issue and it seems like they didn't care. Thanks to Jack who advocated for us and said that we cannot do the tour. The tour company have some type rules when it comes to tour cancelation due to inclement weather. We received the refund but it took a lot of effort. Will never use this company again.

Fantastic Day

This is a must do experience and all made better by our guide Roy. He was brilliant, we managed to see and do so much in the time we had with him. He explained everything about the history of Singapore which is very interesting. He took numerous photos for us and nothing was to much trouble for him. Thank you Roy for such a wonderful day

Fantastic Experience

I can't say enough about this experience, it was a brilliant day. Our guide for day Roy deserves all credit he gets he was a superb guide. Very informative, good fun and took so many photos for us and planned our day so we'll. We learned so much about Singapore from how it was to how it is now. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as it can be alot of walking, but the metro and buses are used to get to places as well. But we felt by walking you do get to see so much more of the City. I would highly recommend this tour and I hope you get Roy as a guide, he was brilliant

An outstanding day in Singapore with Roy.....

We toured with Roy, and he was simply outstanding. We connected prior to arriving in Singapore and discussed how we wanted to spend our day in Singapore. Roy did an outstanding job of arranging the schedule so we could see everything on my wish list as well as other locations he suggested. Roy went to our hotel in advance and figured out a place to meet (and provided a photo to show EXACTLY where to meet). Roy has an outstanding amount of knowledge about Singapore, and comes prepared with binders of photos to show what Singapore was like in the past, so you could compare it with how it appears today. Roy carefully watched out for us the entire day to ensure we stayed together and avoided any missteps on the sometimes uneven ground. Roy carefully monitored our time schedule to ensure we were on track with the agenda, and we altered the schedule a bit on the fly to ensure our priorities were being met. If Roy isn't THE best guide we've ever had, he is certainly one of the very best guides we've ever encountered around the globe. Bravo. We toured with another City Unscripted guide in Hong Kong, and she was equally outstanding. I strongly recommend working with City Unscripted when you're considering guides for your upcoming vacation.

First time in Singapore

Jimmy was a phenomenal guide. He gave us a great experience and a has a wonderful grasp on the history of the city. He helped us navigate the hawker markets, Chinatown, the city center, and multiple temples. - plus, took us to some off the beaten path type spots. Highly recommend him.

Amazing time!

Adam was awesome (even when I arrived late). He is so extremely kind, genuine, and personable. He's knowledgeable and obviously very proud of Singapore, and he clearly loves the city and his job. He painted a beautiful picture of the history and vibrancy of the city-state. I felt extremely safe on this tour with Adam, and like there was so much we could see and do. I highly recommend the tour and Adam as a tour guide.

Jimmy is the best guide!

We had a layover in Singapore and decided to get out of the airport. We were crunched for time but our guide Jimmy was very accommodating even meeting us earlier so we could make it back in time for our flight. Jimmy was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable about his country and culture. He was very kind and took candid shots of our family and created a slide show for us to remember our time. He was very responsive when planning the tour and things we wanted to see. Lastly he helped us get a cab back to the airport. I can’t recommend him enough and will definitely book another tour when in Singapore.

What a fabulous friendly host Wahida was, she certainly gives you some of the great sneaky hide away places that you wouldn't have discovered on your own. We certainly enjoyed all the history that she shared with us. Hopefully 1 day we will meet again, im the meantime don't hesitate to call on her services.

Amazing Walking & Evening tour of Singapore !

Jon provided us with an amazing, unforgettable day & evening tour of Singapore, as only a native guide could. He is funny, personable, chock full of local history, culture (all of them!), traditions , local cuisine, even traditional medicines & herbs, which he graciously allowed us to sample. Jon graciously guided us through the hustle and bustle, of old & new Singapore, all the while regaining us with the citybthatvhe is so passionate about.. We learned so much- the traditions around the Singapore Sling, were expertly guided , as we shopped in little India, while no question was left unanswered... The walking tour jON provided us with was simply unforgettable, as were the use of the mass transit system... we simply learned so much, under Jon's considerate & comprehensive tutelage. Capping this phemoneal day was the spectacular light show at the Bayside Garden. jON was considerate enough o provide us with snacks & beverages for the light show. What a Guy! I had the pleasure of having an all day city tour of Singapore with the guide Adam. It was a very fun experience. The tour was very flexible where we could adjust to visit specific places I was interested. Adam was extremely knowledge and enjoyable to speak with during the tour. You will visit many sites and can cover as much of the city as you want. Highly recommend the tour and then guide!

Fantastic, personalised guided city tour

We had a truly personalised and thoroughly enjoyable tour with our fantastic tour guide Shaotong (ST). We packed in a great combination of key sites such as Little India, Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay, the Colonial District, Marina Bay Sands, and key city center attractions, and finished our tour at Kampong Glam. What made the visit extra special was the personalised nature of the tour with our guide, ST, taking extra care of my Mum and my daughter to make everyone feel welcome, included and well-informed on the rich history of Singapore, so much so that my Mum said it was the best city tour she had experienced in her whole life. Thanks so much, ST, for all the great memories!

Superb Personal Tour!

I had a fantastic day with a personal tour via a tour guide named Joanne. Joanne was an amazing tour guide. First of all the all, the tour was through a company called City Unscripted that is contracted through Trip Advisor. This company did such a wonderful job in finding out exactly what my likes and dislikes were by allowing me to take a survey so that they could curate the tour exactly to my liking. Joanne was my actual guide through this company and she set up a tour for exactly what would work for me! She gave me a choice of 2 tours based on the feedback I provided for her. I chose an option that took me all over China town, Kampong Glam, Little India and even Gardens by the Bay. It was such a wonderful day spent seeing highlights of the city. She was even willing to be my photographer for the day too. :) She was thorough with her explanation of the history of every part of town that we ventured into and just a joy to tour the city with. If I ever do another tour in Singapore, I will be emailing Joanne! Thanks so much Joanne, for all of your time with me! Try her out, you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience!!

Our guide was Jon Xu. He was one of the best tour guides we have ever used (and we travel quite a bit)!!! He was not only our tour guide but also our driver. He took us around Singapore in his vehicle (which we had arranged with him). He was very prompt, in fact, he picked us up early when we told him we are available early. Jon had a very good command of the English language so he was easy to understand. In addition, he was very friendly and very accommodating as well as fun and entertaining! We had booked a 4-hour tour with him but it actually was at least 4 1/2 hours. Jon took us to all of the major attractions of Singapore and did an excellent job of explaining all of the details related to each one, he was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot from what he told us during the tour. He never seemed rushed, in fact, he even took the time to take several pictures in various places of my wife and I using my camera. This was very nice because I am usually not in the pictures because I am taking them. It was quite evident he was very familiar with using cameras because of the shots he took and the way he took them similar to a professional photographer. Jon gave each of us two souvenirs from Singapore and even bought us ice cream!! He also gave us enough free time at each location to explore a little on our own. He customized our tour to what we were especially interested in seeing. This tour was well worth the cost!

Best tour with Sharon!

Had a wonderful day touring Singapore with Sharon. She was in contact with us before we even made it to Singapore and helped us purchase the transportation tickets we used throughout our time in Singapore. She showed us the sights and took us to many local places to try different delicious foods around Singapore. We learned how to use the local transit system and how to get around. She knew where to go and what to try in places many tourists never visit. She was a wealth of knowledge and offered many other places to explore on our own during the rest of our trip. It was also great to hear about present day Singapore and daily life as a resident. Great day all around!
