Simon Cabaret Show

Very Patong show….what we expected.

It was what we expected. Amazing costumes, lip syncing was a bit average. Entertaining and it was good to show our kids something that is so well known in Thailand.

🛑 PERFORMERS FORCED MONEY OUT OF MY WIFE

COMPLAINT: We have just been to see the Simon Cabaret. We were looking forward to the show and paid extra for special seats. Sadly, we would like to complain about two happenings: The first is as soon as the show started people who had paid for cheap seats jumped into the expensive seats in front of us, which we had paid extra for, and no staff members made any movement to say anything. Secondly, as we exited, we were informed that it will be 100 Baht to take a photo with the performers (which is fine). My wife was very excited as she really liked the show. But then immediately was gouged for 400!! we requested one person for a photo with my wife, but they pulled in another person and then “demanded a selfie” with all of us as well which brought the price right up to 400… We felt this was the level of a strip show robbing of our money and really spoiled our enjoyment of the show. We are very sad because the show was very good.

Would not bother going, it is a standard cabaret show and not really what we expected.

We expected an entertaining and funny show, but instead it was a rendition of the moulin rouge, but with miming and average dancing. The dancers are beautiful and costumes good, but really the show was mediocre and choice of music boring

Worth a visit

We loved it , very well organised and so enjoyable . Just be very careful at the end , all the “ladies “ are lined up offering photos , if you take them up on the offer you are then asked for money ! A good show to see

Don’t hesitate to see it.

Fantastic show, well done and professional. Costumes are 1st rate and the theatre is beautiful. Staff are friendly and courteous

Change isn’t always better

I may be getting old but I know what works and what doesn’t. We went tonSimon Cabaret about 12 years ago when it was fun, engaging and quick witted and a proper drag show. This time around it has been turned into a cultural “las Vegas” type show. there is plenty of other cultural shows you can attend in Phuket which is why I am surprised that this venue had made such a dramatic change.

Great show not to be missed

What a great Show! Choreography, costumes, music, dancing and stage sets all amazing. Unfortunately you are not permitted to take pictures or videos but please do not miss the chance to see this terrific show. Usually your hotel can arrange a taxi there and back. The venue is classy and fabulous with a great bar for fabulous cocktails before the show!!! You are also given the chance to have a photograph with the stars of the show afterwards (for a small charge).

Good and entertaining show. However, the dodgy sell of photos at the end of the show is not nice

Only complain is that uncomfortable situation when performers call you for a picture and out of the blue charge 200 bath per photo. It seems to be normal practice in every activity in Thailand, they lie to you about it and then push you to the point of rudeness to buy them.

Bizzare show

One hour long badly mimed show. Costumes good ladyboys quite amazing looking but shows quite dated and amateurish. Worth a see I suppose but don’t expect to much. Surroundings nice, theatre type setting not really a Caberet setting

A Dazzling Delight

The Simon Cabaret Show in Phuket is an absolute gem, offering a visually stunning spectacle that left me in awe. The mesmerizing costumes, vibrant scenery, and incredible performers create an unforgettable experience. The performers' talent, grace, and charisma shine through in every act, making it impossible not to appreciate their dedication and skill. Regardless of personal preferences, the Simon Cabaret Show is a celebration of artistic talent that's worth experiencing. To top it off, the opportunity to take a selfie with the performers after the show adds a personal touch, making the entire experience even more memorable. Don't miss out on this dazzling delight of artistry – it's an evening of entertainment that will leave you thoroughly impressed and entertained!

Wonderful performances

The performers looked at their best with wonderful dancing and very colorful costumes. It was very hard to make out that they were men dressed as females. They even performed on a Bollywood song. Lip syncing was off for most of the songs but it didn’t bother us. Seating was spacious with enough walking for a person to move into the row without stepping over those already seated. The show is children friendly. The performers stood in a row at the exit to take pictures with anyone interested. There was no hustling at all. Though, we didn’t take any and made a smooth exit. Overall, it was great show!

Not suitable for families

I was shocked with the sexual content of the show and how they allowed the show for all ages. We, along with other couple of families, left the show after 30 minutes from the show start.

The old ones are the best, no cliches here.

Fantastic show, a great night out for all, hard not to enjoy, perhaps there is a over reliance, on song and dance routines. Would be good to see a break with a bit of and unusual act, after 60 minutes I was getting to the pint of oh no anther cover, song and dance routine. But still would go again, and a fun night out.

An experience

Was an experience that’s for sure ! Great costumes and mixture of songs from different nationality’s.

Excellent costumes and Sets

Maybe it because we went to the final show of the day but despite the excellent costumes and sets the performance lacked. The dancers looked tired… and while there were one to two who looked like they wanted to be there, the others only got excited trying get your picture at the of the show (for money). Beautiful theatre!

The glamour of old cabaret, in Phuket

This show was more than I could’ve ever imagined. A show combining different cultures, music styles and all adapted to cabaret format. A very enjoyable night

Amazing Experience

This show was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. We were entertained from the moment it started till the end. Very polished performance and every one of the Ladyboys could easily be Vegas Showgirls. Highly recommend this show if in Phuket.

When in Thailand, you kinda have to check it out

Was a pretty cool show. When you go to Thailand, I guess you kinda have to see this somewhere. This show was pretty high class, with a little racy at times.

Leisure at the Dance Show

A good place to spend your evening. The acts were all good and soothing to the eye. Except for a very few acts, which were mediocre all others were good and with matching songs

Bit of a laugh

Fun filled show, we all enjoyed it immensely, the dancing and costumes were stunning. All ages would enjoy the dancing

Up and down Experience

They Couldn't find our tickets online for some in our group so we got in late. THEY START ON TIME FYI. We paid for VIP but sat us in Row J. It wasn't close to the stage. We told the worker but he did nothing. At the end, the cast takes pictures with you for 100 baht but don't tell you till after the photo. Some were rude making Hands gestures to get out the way if your not taking a pic with them. Unfortunate situation specially when I brought my family of 11 people.

Stunning costumes and show. Beware the photos cost $$$

Wet outside, don’t care, we had a great night at the Simon Cabaret show. Even if the girls did scam us for extra money by jumping in our photos at the end! The more girls the more money so just be aware and have a few 100 baht, you need 100 per person so 4 in the photo that’s 400 baht! 💰 Go early to have a cocktail before the show and air in the lobby. The costumes in this show were amazing, the main performers talent was good but the rest of the dancers did lack a bit of enthusiasm and timing. But then we’re dance people so could pick it easily. All in all it was very entertaining and worth the money. Note you can’t eat a meal here so arrange to eat before or after.

Such fun

We really enjoyed this show! When we arrived, the waiting area is beautiful, and a member of staff offered to take a photo of us by the display. We had some lovely themed cocktails whilst waiting. The show was so much fun. The outfits are incredible, so sparkly. The dances are fun, we especially enjoyed the Indian dancing, it was beautiful. A range of music, new, old and different languages. The lip syncing was part of the fun. We thought it being in Patong it would be near Bangla Road etc but it was a half an hour walk, but easy to book a tuk tuk right after the show as so many people there offering taxis.

The most sparkle you’ll see in Thailand!

This is a really fun show full of amazing costumes and characters! It’s just hit after hit after hit. An hour and a half of non stop glittery action!

Simons cabaret

The show was amazing! The costumes, the set, the music, everything was mind blowing. Couldn’t recommend it more when it Thailand.

An absolutely STUNNING Spectacular

If you can appreciate the artistry that goes into putting on a performance like this, then it is a must do. Take it for what it is and enjoy the show. I have never seen a cabaret anywhere in the world so this was my first time (ladyboy element aside) and I was blown away!! The sheer beauty of the performers and their costumes was breathtaking. We didn’t know where to look (and my husband was “looking”). For the most part it was a “benign” show and suitable for the “family”, however if you have kids over about the age of 10 then you may have some “explaining” to do after the middle section. We were surprised at the number of kids in attendance though I do think it was included in their group organised tour. Get your “from a distance” photos at the pre show parade. Post show they will offer to pose for photos and then afterwards ask for payment. They are very tall, platform shoes aside.

Not Family Friendly

The pluses: well organised, great comfy seats, lovely costumes, very kind staff. The negatives: Very cringey, lips sinking songs, I felt uncomfortable watching 1/4 of the show due to the level obscenity for what was meant to be a “Family Friendly” Show. The show needs to involve the audience more and be less vulgar to be able to call themselves a Family Friendly Show and NOTE you need to $$$ if you want pictures with them at the end, sadly!

Spangles and glitz.

This show is full of glitz sparkling outfits and will surely entertaining for all ages.be very careful if you are a male and seated in the front row.also if you decide to have photos with the entertainers .you will need to pay for the service.another must do when in Patong.

Great entertainment

Just returned from the show which I’ve wanted to see for sometime. We really enjoyed this show. High energy and great costumes. Very enjoyable.

great show

Went to this show with the group I was traveling with, was unaware of what to expect from the show. I was surprised how good the show was.

Simon cabaret

The show is absolutely outstanding my goodness the costumes are insane, so much hard work put into every performance, even if the lip sync is out and most can't remember the lyrics it's fantastic, however Simon caberet should warn people about after show pictures, which the dancers force you to pay a ridiculous amount of money for taking pictures with them you get accosted by them, even if you didn't ask for photo's

Top show!

I thought this show was excellent! I absolutely loved it. I had big doubts going in as I’ve never experienced anything like this before but was pleasantly surprised! It was so much fun going with friends to see it. At the end we got to meet some of the show crew and they loved having their photos taken with tourists. Well worth it.

it’s okay ..

Show was okay. if you come late you can still be seated. there was a lot of chinese tourists who didn’t accept the announcement to not take videos or photos, an attendant stood on the side of my VIP seat shining a flashlight on the people using their phones for the first 20 minutes, which was very distracting. i think they should have the announcement in a few more languages so that this is understood by the audience. Overall it’s a good way to meet and experience ladyboy experience, but the show overall isn’t a ‘must see’, just a standard cabaret. at the end the performers line up near the exit and will wave at you to take a photo but there’s usually so many people you can easily walk through the doors and leave and there’s no pressure. Usually when you want a photo, one more girl will hop in with you and they all want 100B per performer in the photo. i recommend organising a grab taxi from inside before you leave because there are black taxis outside. There’s a bar inside for the pre performance waiting but no food or beverage sales really.

Would recommend

I did really enjoy this, and the only reason I’ve rated it a 3 is because there was a few dancers who you could see wasn’t happy and didn’t want to be there. But the Actual show was good, and a worth whole trip!

Loved this

Drinks on the cocktail bar were a good price and delicious. The Show itself? What a professional and slick show. The dancers are amazing. Totally Wonderful! Costumes were literally show stopping. What a fabulous show - thoroughly enjoyed every moment UNTIL we left. Felt totally mugged by these dancers demanding money for photos. We have paid 1000 tbt each to get in and felt the.money grabbing at the end left a nasty taste.

Amazing experience!

Great show and very nice elaborate costumes. Miming of the songs could be a bit better but overall an amazing experience.

Very good. Must watch for family, children can also watch

Worth it and must try. It's absolutely great although beware of when the show ends they stand in line and start calling u for selfies. They will take a selfie in your cell and won't hand it over till u pay them 500 bhat. Felt a little conned by such behavior after the show.

Good show, ripe off with photos

Show was great and yes a little sexual, what spoiled it was the dancers all grabbing you for a selfy and then demanding 1000 bhat. Ruined the show as grabbed the money after one picture and pushed you away.

5* Cabaret

Absolutely fabulous, Choreography was 5* the whole show was outstanding, we loved it. Would highly recommend

Iconic

Iconic show. So much fun. May not be for everyone but I loved to see this side of Phuket. Would not recommend bringing little kids unless you want them to see some sexy gay stuff. But like it’s a cabaret show so if you’re mad about it that’s on you. Don’t know what else you expect… Gorgeous girls. Location of the cabaret is a bit outside of central Patong so plan accordingly!

What fun!

Great fun, the Madonna "Vogue" routine was brilliant! Wasn't expecting a whole purpose built theatre My only complaint was trying to rip-you off for photos with the dancers at the end, kind of spoilt things.

The show was amazing, we loved it !!

The performers are very talented and the choreography was amazing! We loved the costumes as well! Highly recommended..

Enjoyable evening

Booked the show before we even left England, seated in row B. Lovely cocktails before the performance. We really enjoyed the show although a couple of the dances were quite erotic!! Fantastic costumes. Getting a taxi back to the hotel was a bit difficult but manageable. Definitely something to do if you're in phuket as a good experience

One of those must do things in Phuket

A great fun evening , great costumes and entertaining. Would be nice if there was some nice restaurants to eat close by or on site.

Brilliant Children friendly Cabaret show

Amazing show, children friendly cabaret. Lots of energy, dances, performances over songs from various Asian languages. Much better then expected - recommended…! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super fun!!

What a fun experience! This had my whole family dancing and clapping along. 100% recommended going along and bringing the family. Will go again the next time we're in Patong!!

Simon lady boy cabaret

The Simon Cabaret is a must visit if your in Phuket .not expensive but a great night out .the whole thing is fantastically over the top the costumes and the sheer energy of what is a tight hour and a half show very good .the theatre and location extremely prodfessionaly run .and all the performers giving their absolute all .come dancing it ain’t but it’s really fun and a great spectacle

Fun night at Simon Cabaret

A good fun night out.Costumes and performers were great.A mix of traditional and modern music (mimed). We booked VIP tickets, but were disappointed to be in row 12 (only two rows behind us) in the stalls. The performers were lined up begging for photos after the show finished, which wasn't the nicest way to end the evening. I think you have to go once to experience it.

Okay show

We have very mixed feelings after visiting the cabaret. We were very excited but left kind of annoyed and ripped off. The theatre is lovely and the costumes and setting of the stage was beautiful. That’s where the good stuff ends. The dances and lip syncing was very underwhelming. Some dancers were out of sync or weren’t putting any effort in. Some dancers who would sing wouldn’t even know the words as it is very obvious. When leaving the theatre they wait in a row and take photos of you. However they do not tell you you have to pay. I got a photo with one dancer and then she grabbed another dance into the photo so I had to pay both of them when I didn’t even ask the other dancer for a photo $35 later and we felt ripped off. Beware of this

Great performance. And no, there is no "scam"

This was a fun cabaret to go and watch for 90 minutes. It is all lip synced, there are no live vocals, but the costumes and dances are spectacular. Definitely worth a watch. With regards to people saying they were "scammed" at the end, I think they must've been blind. Basically all of the performers line up outside, and as you walk out you can have a photo with them. There is an enormous sign above their heads which says "photos - minimum 100 Baht per performer" in six different languages. (Just over £2). This is standard for cabarets, even outside of Thailand. And if you open your eyes you'll see the sign. This isn't a "scam", it's income for the performers. If you don't want to pay you can do what we did and just...walk past.
