Good but lots of extra things to pay for inside

Was really good. Not all of the experience was for me. Did enjoy the latter part of the experience. Please note as with all thee places there’s a lot of things that cost extra: be prepared if you want to have photos with the royals it will cost extra.

Fantastic value for money museum visit

We had visited Madame Tussaud’s years ago, so were very pleasantly surprised by the fabulous re-designed style of the museum and waxworks. The museum is very on trend, easy to navigate around and extremely interesting. There are a variety of sections with the celebrities wax figures, Chamber of Horrors, British taxi ride, Star Wars and Superheroes 3D presentation. Highly recommended and a great value entrance ticket. You also get the offer to book an extra visit to another of their landmarks at £10.00 each on alternative dates!! I booked The London Eye on my birthday in June. Fabulous!!

Madam Tussauds 2025

Visited today as part of a London break. Entered at 2.45pm slot and was not too busy. Great tour, fantastic features over three floors. 4D Marvel experience was good but the Spirit of London section was exceptional

Fun guaranteed!

We went to Madame Tussauds without much expectation, but we had to change our minds: it was a super fun experience! The wax statues are incredibly realistic, to the point that in some photos they look like real people (and in fact we risked greeting a couple of non-existent VIPs). The route is well structured, with thematic sections ranging from cinema to music, from sport to the royal family. And then, let's face it: who has never dreamed of taking a selfie with Leonardo DiCaprio or Queen Elizabeth (without the risk of being stopped by security)? The icing on the cake: the 4D experience with Marvel superheroes, which adds an adrenaline-pumping touch to the visit. The price is not the cheapest, but it is worth a couple of hours of pure leisure. If you're in London, pop in... and be careful not to ask for autographs by accident!

Back after 30 years!

After seeing it for the first time 30 years ago, it turns out completely changed (obviously), beautiful part of star wars for lovers of the genre, the waxes look human, also beautiful part dedicated to royalty. Recommended

I loved the experience. CUBAN IN LONDONSS. The impossible characters that are better worked. Parecen realesss !!! It's spectacular.

Great fun London experience

We really enjoyed our visit. I hadn’t been since I was young and had lower expectations but these were quickly turned around and even more so as I watched my teenage children having so much fun

Good day trip out!

Great for a day trip out! The experience itself is amazing, due to disability issues I was unable to take part in the ride but was offered to experience the ride through VR. Staff members are always on hand and ready to help, lots of accessible areas eg; toilets, lifts, ramps. Good photo opportunities and little experiences along the way. Lots of food places nearby too and just a great attraction.

Madame, Tussaud’s February half term 2025

This review is for February half term 2025, First of I wasn’t impressed with the staff on the front checking tickets I showed my gold Merlin pass and she went me to the fast track stood there for 20 minutes to finally go in to be told I can’t queue here I need to queue in the main queue. Told the lady I was sent here by staff as I have gold Merlin pass, plus I’ve alway used the fast track with my pass not just at this attraction but also at London Eye, I was thinking to myself if they had to my no use the main queue I wouldn’t of bothered going In I would of just gone to London Zoo as that was the next attraction we were going to after. She called a manager over who let me In but told me I shouldn’t be using the fast track. Ive had a Merlin pass for over 12 years now and have never had an issue. My view on the that issue is if this is something that has change this year I don’t agree as you’ve paid to have a Merlin pass so why not use the fast track entrance to make Merlin pass holders fill that little more special from the regular guest who have just paid for a one day ticket. Once inside it is just wax works I remember there use to be an alien area from the movie that was good but that gone. They had area like was kinda like the dungeons but you do need to be 16 years old so I didn’t do that as I was with a child under 10. We went on the taxi ride. I don’t know if you can go around and not go on the taxi ride if you don’t want to. But I was asked if we could re-ride which I know you can’t do. We watch the Marvel 4D experience which I loved definitely wanna be far back as the screen is super close once you put them 3D glasses on. Which I did notice is there’s no where to stop and eat you could be in there all day reading all the information about each wax figure and no where to stop and sit down and have some lunch. Other than the 4D show. I do like Madame Tussaud’s I’ll definitely go again with just adults this time to experience the dungeons looking area to experience what it is like I did Google about the fast track and it does say you can use fast track depending on which pass you have

Disappointing

What a disappointment when we met this museum 20 years ago! Few wax statues, especially recent pop singers, some actors...except Freddy Mercury and Elton John nothing about English pop/rock, no politicians or historical, the French revolution part disappeared. Everything has been replaced by a Marvel room where not all the Avengers are represented, a ridiculous 3D movie (neither the faces nor the voices of the actors). The Star Wars room is also very small, not even Luke!! The only nice attraction is the history of London by small train, so it goes very fast. In short a lot of people, noise and high price for not much

A hell of a visit.

It's really a beautiful place! The Queen and her family, the music stars and many actors whose names sometimes have to be guessed... We can sit next to each other, take selfies and the surprise from below is worth a visit! Shh! Only flat 4d cinema that I did not like! A bit of tail in the rain but well organized and you don't regret once you get back!

Very nice place one should visit when in London.

Beautiful attraction one must visit. Lots to see and very interesting information about the history of England and its people. We had to prebook the visiting time and arrived early but they did not let us in and that was a little bit disappointing because it is very difficult to book the exact time you actually arrive. Children running around and touching the mannequins is something I did not expect and staff should not allow this.

Not great unfortunately

If you want to get round it properly, avoid the holidays. Way to many people in there at one time. People pushing around and my two young children struggled due to this. Pathetically expensive as well. We went to the one in Budapest which was so much better. Cheaper and easier to get around. Personally you can probably do Budapest for the price of a family ticket here so would advise you do that instead!!!!!!!

Amazing waxworks, almost real

What an experience, Persuaded to go by my partner and ill admit it was so much fun. A fun way to be close to the stars without it costing a fortune, these are top class wax works with a lot to explore and see. The London taxi ride and the 4D marvel cinema topped of the experience. Very happy with the day a well looked after venue.

If holidays don’t bother unless you are the pushy rude type

Hands down the worst thing we did in London We should have known for the queues It was packed inside… so much so we couldn’t actually see the wax figures Every figure has a queue and crowds waiting for pictures so we couldn’t actually look at the figures or ease any information We were pushed and shoved around, people shoved in front when we were trying to look at anything It was very noisy The experience has been extended to include a mini car ride around history of London a ‘scary’ dungeon bit and a marvel experience but this wasn’t of much interest / what we wanted/ thought the experience was - although those with young children will love the marvel section I’m sure We were done in an hour as gave up trying to see anything and children were fed up … such a shame as it was the eldest’s top choice in what she wanted to do in London If it was a term day it would probably be a completely different experience

This is the third time I've done it. It changes every time. Reserve in advance and preferably early. Easy access.

Great fun experience with lifelike wax figures!

Wax Museums are always fun and this one is no exceptions, the wax figures are very well done, probably the best I have seen and the Star Wars experience was a highlight. On the low side the pricing for entry and various photographs you can purchase inside are overpriced but nothing new here!

Don't miss the excitement

I visited the museum when I was little as 10 yrs old. This is my second time as an all grown up man with my own family. Showing my kids what I experienced and enjoyed the place.

Really Enjoyable Attraction

Really enjoyed our experience, the wax works were incredible and was really interactive with various photo points and things to do at each level. The ride was great would definitely visit again as it's always adapting.

Impressive wax modelling and staging

There were many changes since I had last been here with more gadgets and effects in use. The models are impressive and many appear to look directly at you as you survey them. To be able to touch exhibits is great since that enhances the experience. I am sure it is challenging to have a mix of models to suit everyone who visits. I expected to see more of the current crop of politicians, athletes and thought leaders modelled and on display. There is a strong focus on celebrities and characters from film, music and fashion which I imagine is based on experience and feedback. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

Disappointed

Disappointed with some of the figures as they looked tired and very dated. Others however, eg Elton and the piano newly released and looking fantastic. Don't really feel like it's a place we would rush back too.

Good but a few complaints

Loved it but found it too busy and people pushing in to get photos . We didn't see the marvel part as it was just too busy and felt claustrophobic They should limit the numbers in the time slots so you take your time walking around

Too expensive and they charge children from 2 years old.

It is a very expensive tour and not worth it. They also charge children over 2 years old £38, discussing. Food and tour souvenirs also expensive.

Disappointed

Very disappointed with this trip and glad we didn't pay full price for it. There seemed to be less celebrity models and it was not as good as I remember it being on my last visit 10 years ago. Far too many Bollywood actors who we'd never heard of and too much emphasis on trying to get you to part with your money for over priced photos. Sadly, I won't be back.

Indecent!!!

Disappointing and rambling. They removed the statue of Michael Jackson for absurd reasons related to the documentary in which MJ was accused by two phantom parents about alleged violence to children... never confirmed, indeed... made up!!! In reality everything was done solely and exclusively to insert statues of British stars, proof of a compulsive nationalism that has always guided the British... see also the exit from the EU... UNJUSTIFIABLE!!!! Thank goodness that in other locations in the world this choice was not shared, evidently because someone objective and endowed with brains still exists...

Just wonderful ! So interactive.

Enjoyed the experience very much! I think the last time I went was maybe when I was a child. many years ago ! And you walked around and looked at wax figures from behind a rope barrier !? What a change now.! Was amazed how interactive it was..and that you could touch , hug, and interact with all the figures..even the Queen.Brilliant. The figure that perhaps impressed me most was David Attenborough..so true to life. We enjoyed the fact that it wasn't too crowded and there was lots of room to walk around. ( I havevto use a walker because of weak back muscles..and it wasn't a problem. ) LOTS of steps, but husband carried my folded walker and I used the handrails.... Loved the 3D marvel super heroes show. ( wished our grandchildren were with us !) Another highlight was the chap in the cola bar pretending to be a waxwork..and he had me fooled. Even took a photo of him..then he moved !! Made me, and some nearby kids, laugh so much. Thanks !!

Sadly, not as good as it used to be

My first visit had been 30 years ago and I was looking so forward to my second one. Most of the wax figures are spot on (some of them look so real that it's difficult to believe they are not actual people), which makes you wonder why the others cannot be as well. Besides, why are all of them skinny when in real life those persons are/were not? Unfortunately, the place is geared towards children and teenagers as there is an overpopulation of pop culture figures in detriment of personalities related to sport, culture, politics, etc. And the few of them there are, they are ramdomly displayed (other than the royal family) as to just fill a space. The chamber of horrors is OK, albeit seriously toned down. The Star Wars and Marvel exhibitions (4D cinema included) are further proof that the museum is not interested in cater for the adult public. And even when enjoying those exhibitions, most of the figures are just costumes (Storm Troupers, Chewbacca and the likes), no real wax crafmanship there so you have to wonder why half of the wax exhibition is anything but. My teenager son loved the experience but I was left dissapointed.

Good wax museum

I’ve never been to a wax museum before, I went with my 11-year-old son and I was impressed by the figures’ resemblance to the real characters. My son really enjoyed it and so did we.

Site to see absolutely and perfectly adapted to PMRs

To be honest, I wasn't super motivated for this visit (wax statues? Not super original!) but actually Mme Tussauds is much more than that. The statues are so realistic that it's disturbing, we don't know if we have a person in front of us or a statue. It's very qualitative rather than just an accumulation of characters like in other museums of this type. The universes presented (the horrific part about serial killers, the trip to the Old London, the Marvel universe and its 4D show, ...) and the animations proposed are incredible. I would definitely recommend this must for any visit to London. But beyond the visit itself, I would like to thank the team that welcomed us and facilitated the visit from start to finish. We arrived in the afternoon without reservation and there were no more tickets on sale for the day. Jay the supervisor in charge that day worked hard to get us home anyway because we were coming from far away. My son is disabled and in a wheelchair and I can therefore confirm that the site is perfectly suitable for PMRs. To do this, an employee must accompany us throughout the tour so that we can take the elevator. The whole team (Jay, Tan, Ahmed and everyone whose names I didn't write down) was incredibly considerate and attentive to Benjamin with small gifts and such touching attentions. A huge thank you to them from the bottom of our hearts on behalf of Benjamin and our whole family.

Fun

We had fun admiring the statues. We enjoyed taking pictures with the most famous celebrities and Royal Fanily members. Very nice also the Marvel movie in 4D.

Not worth the time or money

Bit sad really. A fair amount of the wax works are rather poor. The whole place doesn’t seem to know what it is supposed to be anymore. The house of horrors is very dull. We sat through a 4D cinema experience which was quite good but I have no idea what it is doing as part of a waxworks museum. Madam Tussaud’s seems to have lost its way and now seems like a waste of time and money.

Not worth the money

An ok rainy day activity but better off going to the free museums for the price. Whatever you do don’t pay for the digital photo package. Even though it’s only 10 pounds it’s a rort. The photos aren’t even set up properly (eg photo with the Rock his face was in shadow. You’d think they would have figured that one out properly given that is the wax model is in that position!) And they aren’t even downloadable in HD.

Not as good as it used to be....

it's changed a lot over the years and I've been lucky enough to visit a few times. I'll be totally honest and say that I don't think it's as good as it used to be. Took a couple of hours to walk around and was very crowded.

Rub shoulders with the stars

hadn't been for a number of years and was pleasantly surprised on this visit. Very interactive with plenty of photo opportunities. The 3d cinema is very good. Would highly recommend.

A very positive experience

We really liked it. If it is true that according to the time there can be many people, but if the time is well organized, it is very enjoyable.

Over crowded

The wax models are truly amazing however the experience was dampened by the overcrowding, people pushing and shoving which was quite overwhelming and unpleasant and it was incredibly hot and stuffy inside

Very realistic but with some creepy bits

We had such a laugh at Madame tussades. We went on a Saturday afternoon so was quite busy but was able to get around and see all the wax works. We also went on our Merlin pass and was able to get in on that. Tickets are over £30 each and don’t know whether I would want to spend that much per person but would still recommend. The crime section was quite a surprise and if you have kids been warned as it was a bit creepier than expected. There was also a ride which was very surprising. It was good fun but still had some very creepy bits in there. Star Wars and marvel were great and very realistic. A couple of wax figures could have been better but 90% looked really realistic. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend

Wonderful Experience!

Absolutely stunning! Features amazing lifelike wax figures, a captivating 4D cinema as well as a mesmerising journey with the 'Spirit of London'. The overall experience is unforgettable. Totally worth it. 10/10

Too Many people, not enough space or information.. tourist fodder

Queues, too many people, grown adults pushing around to get a photo.. I think the kids enjoyed it but kids are generally easily pleased.. some of the models are completely random and in random areas.. Poor Sean Connery and Benedict Cumberbatch looked ill. Hamilton was very good! Was happy to leave

Very big disappointment

I find the price far too expensive, almost the price of an amusement park. I visited the museum being younger and had a very good memory of it. I was very disappointed with what I saw there, characters that do not look like the original (Christiano ronaldo for example), the number of stars represented is ridiculously low... a taxi attraction for me useless, not to mention 4D cinema, what does it do in this museum? We don't have to pay for it... In summary we are very disappointed we paid for something that did not get and what price...

Surprising end

The revamp of this attraction has kept it relevant. One way system and ticketing is efficient. The audio visual film in three D was a real surprise and very well done. The chamber of horrors is understandably toned down from what it used to be years ago but I’m not sure how effective it is anymore. I appreciate this is difficult to manage and be politically correct these days

Very fun, something for everyone!

This is a great easy place where your kids ages 5 and up will find something or someone they love. It was well organized and there was even a ride and 4d movie! Although not the most educational, definitely a highlight for our family!

Most exciting than expected!!!

I was skeptic about it, but my family wanted to go. I surprisingly really enjoyed it 😀 Lot of things to see and do and extremely well organised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The queues very reasonable. The whole thing went quite fast although there were loads of people. Really a great experience!!!
