Best of London Tour inc Tower of London and Changing of the Guard

Poor guide!

The points of interest were well selected. The tour guide, Christina, was horrible! You couldn’t hear her, even when she tried to use her microphone she wouldn’t hold it up close to her mouth so most of the trip I didn’t know what she was saying. She couldn’t keep her crowd together (no surprise as she didn’t hold up a flag to easily be identified in crowds). We wasted way too much time with her running around trying to find the missing people in the group. We had taken a tour with the same company the day before and it was excellent. Goes to show the guide can really make a big difference. We would’ve been better off without the tour guide.

Long and tedious

So the entire tour we could not hear the guide plus she had group tickets so we could not leave and explore we barely had anytime to see the site because she would go tangents we tuii pi ugly since we books tour we would given the tickets and we have independent time at these area instead we were much faster than our tour guide and we constantly had to wait for her at one point I had to clarify her instruction because the entire group kept on asking g me to find out and then tell them because she could not explain properly

Dont think I’d do it again

It was rushed and not all at the same time. We were told to “move fast but go slow and take it in”. We didn’t get to experience many of the stops being told to wait/the tour guide was getting irritable at us for “not listening”. We could not hear ever. They said “I can project my voice, if you come close” and then still could not hear. They said “I get quiet at the end of my sentences to see if you’re listening” which doesn’t make sense because wouldn’t you want to talk loud enough for us to hear at all times? Lots of people took off and did their own thing so they could experience things. We didn’t get many pictures because we kept getting told to sit or step to the side so we could be told information that either pertained to that place or a totally different thing. So we never really just got to stand there quietly and take it in.

Beautiful day at the Tower

Our guide John was phenomenal! Knowledgeable, punctual and articulate! Wish we could have entered St Paul’s but it was Sunday. Maybe next time.

Fantastic Experience

Wonderful tour with Carol, our amazing and knowledgeable guide and Afifi, our driver. Be prepared for a full-day of touring. Very comfortable, clean bus. Premium staff at Victoria Coach Station were incredible. Since my daughter has disabilities, they allowed us to board the bus first. The schedule changed for Changing of the Guard - so we did not get to see that. Buckingham Palace's decision - not Premium. Very minor disappointment which was made up for by seeing the changing of the King's Horse Guards on The Mall. Tired at end of day, but well worth the experience.

Beautiful experience and much different than I expected

Touring the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral., seeing Big Ben and eating at an English pub. I was here to find my roots as my Father was born y Wolverhampton. Thank you

This really was the best of London in a day

We decided to book this day trip to ensure we saw all the tourist sites on our quick trip to London and we weren’t disappointed. Do not pass up the London Eye flight. Views of the city are impressive! The entry into St. Paul’s Cathedral and the London Tower were great but it was definitely helpful to have a knowledgeable tour guide to help explain the history to our family. Carol was so wonderful and we were pleased with the quick pace and packing so much into one day.

Fun

Frank was great! So knowledgeable and kind. We had a great time and saw the King, thanks to Frank! We had to hustle because of the schedule but we knew ahead of time to be ready. Glad we saw so much in one day!

Excellent day

Guide was excellent. Knowledgeable. Clear. Funny. Peter made the day even more enjoyable. He kept everyone informed of how the day will unfold

London in a day

The tour is a great way to see a lot of the city in a day. You can easily spend a day in each the Tower of London and St Pauls. River cruise is a unique way of seeing Big Ben and Parliament. Carol was great and informative.

Guide great. Route planning unacceptable.

Peter was an excellent informative and entertaining guide. He made the tour great. My only criticism is that someone should have investigated the road closures in advance so that we weren’t delayed in arriving at the palace thereby missing the best part of the changing of the guard. That was VERY disappointing.

Spectacular

Frank was awesome wealth of knowledge. Highlight of the day was getting to see King Charles and Tower of London.

Carol was very knowledgeable and told us many new things We just wish we would have been notified that the Changing of the Guard was not taking place yesterday due to the King birthday celebration this coming weekend

What an awesome day!

What an awesome day! Peter was a fantastic guide- funny, knowledgeable, interesting and kept things moving in a timely manner! We were exhausted by the end, but very happy with all that we saw. Peter kept our group organized and happy! I very much recommend this tour if you have limited time and want to see a lot in one day.

London in a day

The tour was wonderful. Peter, our tour guide was very informative as well as being extremely funny. You will love this tour as it gives you highlights of most tourist spots. We ended our tour at the London Eye which gives a close look at Big Ben overlooking the Thames. Would highly recommend if you are looking to see the sights in one day.

Our guide Peter was amazing! Highly recommend the tour. It's a full day for sure and it's a bit exhausting but well worth it, especially if you're going to be in the area for only a short bit. Peter gave great details on the history and was very accommodating with a fantastic sense of humor.

Very informative

The expertise with which or guide gave as we made our way along the tour and our guides ability to place us in a very good vantage point for Buckingham Palace.

Tower of London and the Crown Jewels.

The Tower of London was one of the highlihgts of the tour. We had plenty of time to explore and to see the Crown Jewels. The visit to Buckingham Palace was also exciting. The king was in residence so the stop was limited. Unfortunately we were not able to see the changing of the guard due to the inclement weather but the tour was still very interesting. The tour guide, Mary, was very entertaining and kept things moving well.

Schedule change at last minute

We missed the changing of the guard because St Paul’s cathedral changed its opening times. I would have preferred going to the changing of the guard. Big bummer

The guide was great but...

The guide was great but we were not able to see the changing of the guard due to some type of scheduling issue. Somewhat disappointing.

Definitely will do this again!

Peter was an amazing tour guide. He mixed facts with humor which was much appreciated and made the whole experience a lot more fun.

Best of London

Our guide, Peter went above and beyond to help us see as much around Buckingham Palace as possible with the roads closed. The guided part of the Tower of London was great. Surprisingly, the ride on the London Eye was a highlight. We had a wonderful time on the Best of London tour.

A fun and entertaining day

We enjoyed this day so much. Our guide was a Londoner who was very knowledgeable. He explained up front that royal places are “working” and sometimes availability changes, and this day there were road closures around Buckingham Palace. After debriefing with the guards, he let us vote on our preferred route based on how much walking there was. His familiarity was very helpful. We chose the option that ended with the London Eye which we especially enjoyed. Lots of nice people in our group as well. *note-they do not do the changing of the guards everyday-check before booking if that’s important to you on this tour

Best of London tour

The guide was very informative. Plenty of time to visit the tower. The guide also brought us to a good location to watch the changing of the guard. The only negative things were the windows on the boat were hard to see through and the day was long

Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral

Touring the Tower of London was exceptional. Also, really enjoyed St Paul’s Cathedral, Our tour guide, Zozo, did a great job. He is certified and a wealth of knowledge. He was very courteous to our entire group and easy you understand. I would highly recommend asking for him on your tour,

Great trip. Highly recommended

Šo Šo was an extremely knowledgeable guide with tons of stories to share and really knew his history and art. He was personable. The only downside, not the fault of the tour guide or company, was the Changing of the Guard was not available because of the Beefeaters being away for training for Charles' BDay celebration.

Must do when visiting London

This is a must do tour if you are in London for a short period of time. Also good to do on your first day. John R. was our tour guide and he was exceptional—very experienced and you can tell he loves what he does. We got to see the changing of the guard, but be aware tourists are already there hours beforehand so you won’t get good views. The Thames boat tour is short but informative.

Day in London First Timers

It was such a great tour. More than we knew it would be, definitely would recommend as there is enough time to explore on your own after each guided tour. Taking the London Eye was a great choice.

Must do while in London

Our guide John was wondering. He was very knowledgeable about all of the sights we went to and has a great since of humor.

Karen was a wonderful guide and John was great too. Beefeater 409 was so knowledgeable and entertaining! Was sad to miss the changing of the guard and lots of road closures due to Tooping of the Colour rehearsal

Great way to get to know London in one day

Loved all of the places we saw, especially St Paul’s Cathedral and the tower of London. Was disappointed that we didn’t see the changing of the guards. Probably due to the rain?

Lots of Waiting

There’s a lot to see on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. I would love to just sit down and talk to her. But we were so disappointed when we were told we wouldn’t be seeing the changing of the guard, because the guide thought it best we go to Buckingham Palace earlier and not wait until 11am. But the changing of the guards was one of the main reasons we booked this tour. The rest of the tour was okay. Our guide talked a lot, which was not a problem, except we couldn’t hear due to having such a large group meaning we spent a lot of time standing around waiting for her to tell the stories and such but couldn’t hear them. The bus driver took awhile to turn on the air, and the trip started off stuffy and hot. Finally, he got it going and it was much better. I wish there would have been less talking during times we couldn’t hear so we had more time at the attractions.

Excellent day had everything we expected and more

Frank our guide made our day wonderful (don’t lose him) due to queue at the Tower we were unable to see everything not Premier tours fault.

London top sites with Frank - Amazing

Frank was amazing on this tour of London that included all of the top sites I wanted to see: Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Crown Jewels, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, St James’s Palace and ending with a boat ride on River Thames and London Eye. We even saw the King. Frank noticed the guards and motorcycles getting ready to move him from St James’s Palace to Buckingham and got us positioned to wave and get a video. King Charles waved back at just 20 feet away. I learned so much about British history. My teens were engaged. It was a good balance between walking and resting on the bus. And then there was Frank, did I mention Frank? Witty and smart!

Excellent experience

Our tour guide, Frank, was friendly and funny, he shared great insights, bits of knowledge and tips that we all enjoy throught the tour.

Great tour, covered a lot in one day but wasn't rushed at all. Great experience.
